Opening Reception

Participants are encouraged to attend the opening reception following the Sunday Evening Opening Plenary. Appetizers, beer, and wine will be served. Participants will receive two (2) drink tickets for the opening reception; a cash bar will be available to purchase additional beverages.
Los Angeles County Natural History Museum Dinner
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County was founded in 1913 and has one of the world’s most extensive and valuable collections of natural and cultural history with more than 35 million objects. Some of the exhibits in the museum will be open for participants to wander through. See their Discovery Guide for more details!

The NHM is a comfortable 0.5 mile walk from Bovard Auditorium, the location of the Tuesday evening plenary.
The Natural History Museum is located in Exposition Park at 900 Exposition Boulevard between Vermont Avenue and Figueroa Street. The Museum is just south of the University Park Campus.
